Wine Director Stephen Bowler of The Pearl - Biography

When Stephen Bowler was first pushed into the workforce he was working in local restaurants to support himself while studying for the introductory Sommelier Certification Exam. After becoming a Certified Sommelier, he moved on to work at Epernay, a specialty wine shop in Nantucket, Massachusetts where he got his supplementary oenological education from mentor Amber Cantella. Bowler worked at Epernay for two years and then went on to explore wine programs at neighboring restaurants. He eventually found his way to The Pearl where his pairings and selections are loved by his patrons and have been recognized by Wine Spectator.
